Space; the final frontier. This is an orchestral cover of the main theme from the animated series of ‘Star Trek.’ It features the voices of William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy & DeForest Kelley. The original score was composed by the great Ray Ellis ($ale Of The Century, Scrabble, Time Machine). After I created the covers from the motion pictures, I wanted to do this classic theme. I never really watched ST:TOS as it was cancelled before I was born; but I definitely got my ‘trekkie’ fix with this series. One of my all-time favorite cartoons & themes. I tried my best to recreate the intimacy of the original & used a minimal amount of instruments. This took about 2 days from start to finish; ALL ear, and ALL MIDI.
