I am pleased to share with you my interpretation and ear arrangement of the music “15 Million Merits” composed by Stephen McKeon for the series “Black Mirror”.

Stephen McKeon’s music is epic, dramatic, hypnotic and heavy …

This British series was created by Charlie Brooker. It depicts a dystopian world of technology. Each episode is a different story and the theme of this series evokes how technology is pervasive, controlling and influencing human nature and vice versa.
The themes evoked for each episode remain dark and reach extremes to show how far we can reach the worst situation if we make mistakes … The excesses of our ultra-connected society that could happen tomorrow.
Some episodes are shocking. This series allows us to become aware of our dependence and to be able to take a step back and reflect on our behavior in the face of technologies that influence our choices, our way of consuming and much more if we do not put our own security barriers.

“Black Mirror” means black screen, that of our computer screens, of telephone once they are off … they reflect our own reflection sometimes cold, obscure, terrifying…
For the director, any technology we consume is a drug and the side effects can take a toll on our behavior, mind and life.
