A short extract from a walk from Briggate, first along the Weaver’s way, a tree-lined track, to the village of East Ruston, and then across the fields to rest briefly at the church of St Mary’s. Then onto the coast at Happisburgh, where in 2014, 800,000 year old human footprints were found. At that time England was joined to Europe and the River Thames flowed to the sea at Happisburgh. The footprints showed 2 adults and 2 children walking in the sand. Soon after being discovered the footprints were washed away.
