Ready to go nostalgic? This is an orchestral cover to the theme for the NBA on CBS (1983-1990) originally composed by Emmy Award winner Allyson Bellink. This theme was famous in the 80’s & helped define the rivalry between the Los Angeles Lakers & the Boston Celtics during the NBA Finals. I used the 1987 Game 4 video montage to help visualize the cover as it’s being played. This is my all time favorite NBA theme (no disrespect to ‘Roundball Rock-NBA on NBC’ by John Tesh) and I really wanted to cover this magnificent piece of music. This was done all in MIDI, by EAR! I used the Abbey Road Studio 3 plugin by Waves (link below) to help my mix translate as I was using headphones. As always; comment, rate, subscribe. Don’t forget to check out my other cover videos on my YouTube channel. Lastly, being a Lakers fan…..this is my all-time favorite cover.
