Dune Assassins is a frenetic composition inspired by elements from a Dungeons and Dragons campaign where there is a secret order of female assassins that come from the desert.
Created with Middle Eastern strings and supported by oboe, bassoon, contrabassoon and a ney flute, it also features a zourna. This is the high-pitched wind instrument you hear during some of the most intense parts.
