New Music From MrBouzouki

New SoundCloud release from MrBouzouki The Anvil of the Sun in collaboration with D Zeitlin, taken from the Beyond the Veiled Horizon series. This ongoing collaboration with keyboardist and Prog Rock enthusiast Dave Zeitlin blends ethno-prog textures with desert imagery to create an immersive sonic journey. The track features a rich palette including Oud, Ney and bass guitar, driven by ambient pads, evocative synth lines and ethereal strings. An experimental intro uses Omnivocal Arabic words for Sun, Mighty, Anvil and Hide, crafted with Cubase 15. Zeitlin provided the initial structure, and MrBouzouki builds it out with percussion and melodic interludes for a hypnotic, heat-soaked listening experience. The Anvil of the Sun, in collaboration with D Zeitlin, lands in a sun-warmed, desert-ambient prog frame, a fresh voice in the Beyond the Veiled Horizon series. Slipping on headphones in a quiet room, you’re greeted by an intro vocal phrase built from Arabic equivalents via an Omnivocal VST in Cubase 15, a subtle cue that this is a modern exploration rather than a throwback. Dee Zee anchors the texture with an ambient pad and the Anvil Pulse, while Zeitlin threads in a patient keyboard counterpoint that keeps you close to the horizon. MrBouzouki contributes bass guitar, oud, and ney, weaving a warm, desert-spun thread through the arrangement.

As the ney threads over the pad, the mix tightens and a fat solo synth rises as a distant, heat-hazed beacon. The percussion remains restrained—cymbal rolls and fruit-shell hits punctuate the rhythm—while pizzicato strings lift the texture in quieter moments. If you’re listening for a moment that refuses to shout yet carries a quiet ache upward, press play and let the heat carry you.
