This new arrangement of the melody (an original composition, in the intense ancient Greek Hypodorian Mode) on a replica ancient Greek tortoise shell lyre tuned in just intonation; with an actual tortoise shell resonator, skin soundboard, unpolished gut strings & authentic, carved bone plectrum, custom made for me in modern Greece, by Luthieros:

The shell featured in this custom made model, uses an actual tortoise shell – foraged from the many naturally occuring shells of land tortoises to be found in the forests near Thessaloniki (no live animals were harmed!).
This arrangement utilzes some of the improvisatory techniques based around varying mainly just the timbre of the lyre; as outlined in my last video, “Inspiration – for Improvisation!”:
