Waltz No. 2 in A is a waltz composed for Viola and Piano which expands upon a chord progression from tunes such as Be Our Guest from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and King George’s solos from Lin Manuel Miranda’s Popular Musical Hamilton. This progression also has many appearances in British Musical Groups such as The Beatles. The progression features a Downward chromatic line the waltz begins in A Major and in the Middle Sections in explores the progression in a minor before returning to the Major key with a new line added into the Pianos right hand to compliment the movement of the solo instrument.
