Program Notes:
[re]Framed started as an experiment in combining contemporary percussion with ambient drones. During this time I was inspired by artist such as A Winged Victory for the Sullen & Olafur Arnald. The piece draws on the use of loop pedal and live electronics to create a meditative space that combines percussion with ambient evolving soundscapes. While melodic material is passed between the electronic and acoustic mallet instruments. [re]Framed was composed in the spring of 2019.
