Waiting for the Full Moon Poem/ Program Note:
What seems so far away, the balloon I have always dream to touch. Can you hear me up there? Will you appear quickly, for I’ll be sleeping soon .
Oh full moon, how radiant, resplendent and gleamy you look.
In that great and lonely journey of the stars through the space, I’ll be your companion.
The sky above is a dark shade of blue, pailing and shrinking before it moves. Yes, I know you fish alone and sail alone in it and I am alone in my room with none of my eyes closed. Can we both sail through the sky ? Can I take time to breath in your magical Light ? Can I release my burden into your beams ? I know, you are aware of my menace and you can gently guide me through the darkest of the night and easing me into the glaring light of the day.
I am Waiting for the Full Moon, the companion I always have but again you are never mine and always far away.
